Safety & Supervision FAQ’S

Where Do Students Stay?

AAll students reside in modern, high-security university-style residences in the heart of Oxford and Bath.

  • The Collegiate Experience: Living in these historic settings gives students a genuine taste of life at a world-leading UK university, fostering a sense of belonging and maturity.
  • Privacy & Comfort: Students stay in private, en-suite rooms, allowing for a comfortable personal space to rest and study.
  • Security: Access to residential blocks is strictly controlled via electronic key cards or 24-hour porters.
What level of supervision is provided?

We maintain an industry-leading staff-to-student ratio to ensure that every child is known and supported individually.

  • Age-Appropriate Independence: While we provide a secure “bubble,” we allow older students (16-18) managed periods of free time in pairs or groups within designated safe areas of Oxford and Bath to practice the independence they will need for university.
  • Sapphire Mentors: Our dedicated “Sapphire” pastoral staff live on-site within the residences. They are available 24/7 to provide guidance, manage student needs, and ensure a harmonious community.
  • Check-ins: We operate a strict registration system for all lessons, workshops, and evening activities. Curfews are strictly enforced to ensure students are safe and well-rested.
Can students use their phones?

Yes, phones are allowed, but we do expect students to stay fully engaged during academic sessions.

  • Distraction-Free Learning: To ensure students gain the full value of our academic seminars, workshops, and guest talks, we require phones to be put away. This fosters deep concentration and meaningful face-to-face networking with peers from around the globe.
  • Stay Connected: Students are encouraged to have their phones to stay in touch with family during their free time and in the evenings.
How do you ensure staff are ready work with children?

We adhere to the highest UK regulatory standards for child protection.

For many of our students, this is their first solo international journey.

  • Meet & Greet: We offer a dedicated airport transfer service from London Heathrow (LHR). Our staff, clearly identifiable in branded uniforms, meet students at the arrivals hall and escort them directly to their campus via private coach or chauffeured car.
